Used skydiving rigs for sale
A complete rig is a container and harness with a main canopy, a reserve canopy, and usually an automatic activation device (AAD). Buying one means checking every part, and how the parts fit together.

Sellers write their own listings. Have a certified parachute rigger inspect used gear before you jump it.
What to check on a complete rig
- Date of manufacture of the container, reserve and main, and the manufacturer’s guidance on service life
- The reserve repack date and the rigger’s records
- Compatibility: the main and reserve sizes must be approved for that container by the manufacturer
- The AAD model, its service and end-of-life dates, and its paperwork
- Harness fit: it has to fit the new owner, not just the seller
- Wear and damage to fabric, hardware, risers, the release system, closing loops and lines
- History: jump count on the main, any reserve deployments, repairs or modifications
Questions to ask the seller
- Has the reserve ever been deployed?
- Who last packed the reserve, and when?
- Any repairs, modifications or manufacturer notices?
- Can I see the paperwork and records?
- Will you let a rigger inspect it before I buy?
Before you jump it
Have a certified parachute rigger inspect a used rig before you jump it, and ideally before you pay. Rig and canopy choices also depend on your size, experience and discipline, so talk to an instructor or coach.
