Skydiving gear is life-safety equipment

Parachutes, containers and harnesses, reserve canopies, AADs, and related gear are life-safety equipment. Defects, damage, age, improper packing or maintenance, or misuse can cause serious injury or death.

The Site is only a venue

• Skydive Buy & Sell does not own, inspect, repair, pack, certify, or sell the gear listed here. Listings are created by independent users.
• We do not verify that listing details, photos, dates, serial numbers, service history, or ownership are accurate or complete. Watermarks and badges do not verify gear.
• A "verified rigger" or "verified supplier" badge means only that an administrator assigned it based on information provided. It is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of anyone's work, gear, or honesty.
• A moderator approving a listing is a basic review of the posting. It is not an inspection or approval of the gear.

Before you buy or use used gear

• Follow all laws and regulations that apply to you, including aviation rules such as those of the FAA or your local air authority, and the basic safety rules and recommendations of recognized organizations such as USPA.
• Have it inspected by a certified rigger, and repacked where required, before you jump it.
• Check manufacturer service bulletins, recalls, service-life limits, and AAD service and end-of-life dates, and confirm serial numbers and paperwork.
• Do not rely on photos or descriptions alone.
• Be wary of deals that seem too good to be true, pressure to act fast, or requests to pay in unusual ways. Prefer meeting in public places and payment methods that protect you.

Condition, size, age, paperwork, location, and the market all change what gear is worth. A price says nothing about whether gear is safe or airworthy.

Reviews, thumbs up or down, and flags are opinions of users or moderators. They are not statements by us, and they may be incomplete or wrong. The absence of a flag does not mean a user is safe.

Community tags such as "Took the full pledge" or "Sky Karma" are just for fun and show a little extra effort. They do not verify anyone's skill, honesty, or gear, and they are different from a verified badge.

Skydive Buy & Sell is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USPA, the FAA or any other authority, any manufacturer, supplier, or dropzone, or any other organization. Names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to describe what is listed or to point you to helpful information.

We point people to other websites, such as USPA, manufacturers, and suppliers, in good faith, because we think they are useful. We do not control those sites, and a link is not an endorsement or a guarantee of anything. A verified supplier badge does not mean a supplier is an authorized dealer of any manufacturer.
